Erik is an original founding partner of Tradition Mortgage in 1998 and currently serves as the company President. As a Gustavus Adolphus College graduate, he has over 20 years of mortgage and banking industry experience. We took the liberty of asking Erik a few questions to get to know him better.
How would you describe yourself in one word? Why?
POSITIVE. There is no reason to be negative when we have so much to be thankful for. I have been truly blessed in my business and personal life.

What advice would you give to a potential client that is shopping for mortgage lenders?
You need to look beyond just the initial numbers. Make sure you are dealing with a real professional that is looking for a long term relationship and will always be looking out for your best interest.
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor? Why?
I already have the best mentor – Tip Enebak, the founder and patriarch of Tradition Companies. He is one of the most respected leaders in construction and finance in Minnesota and I feel very fortunate to have his influence in both my professional and personal life.
